Description
This Anole (Anolis carolinensis) lizard was lurking in some palm fronds.

Ah, someone is finally identifying it correctly. Around here, the locals will, for some reason I've yet to understand, call them scorpians. Excuse me?! Where do they see an exo-skeleton? Where do they see the third pair of segmented limbs, and what do they think are the infamous pincers?! This, my friend, is a reptile, not an arachnid! Er, sorry, pet peeve.
