---------- Torryn ran through the night, always staying parallel to the poacher's trail. This one had obviously been told of Torryn's tracking skills, as he had left several cleverly concealed traps in his path. Not quite clever enough, though. Torryn's mind cleared as he ran. The initial anger was put aside, and replaced with the deadly calm he always felt while running. He focused on the trail...it was heading toward the old ruins at the edge of the valley. This concerned him a bit, as there were no major areas of civilization in that direction...not for hundreds of leagues. That could only mean two things: a rendezvous, or an ambush. No matter. They would be dealt with. As dawn broached the horizon, Torryn emerged from the edge of the wood. He'd reach the ruins before midday. And then he'd teach this thief why you never cross a Ranger's path... ----------
