Description

This is 75 percent watercolor on paper, but I was never quite satisfied with it, so I threw everything at it from Photoshop to Bryce to Poser. So it's heavily retouched 2D.

Could be the cover of "A Book of Five Rings". Miyamoto Musashi would be impressed.

Oh! That is nice! A beautiful composition and theme. May I getnly suggest that the griffin's forlegs be a little more massive? After all, he is a great guardian beast. Wonderfull work on the muscles, how did you do it?

This is one of the best Gryphons that I have seen on Rendo to date. Please do some more. My only suggestion is a problem that i have seen with any Gryphon: Most birds have tail feathers for flight control. I would like to see someone integrate tail feathers onto the Lion tail by someone to see how it would look. They could be at the very end of the tail, of right on the hind -end of the Gryphon. This is really the best I've seen though. 5++++
