Description

Well, I'll consider this version 1.0, there are other elements I wanted in this work, but just don't have the time to include right now. Everybody seems to like this picture the way it is though, so I thought I would upload it. The original versionof this was posted into the Bryce Forum last January. This latest version is completely re-worked as far as the lighting. Soft shadows were enabled with this one, with light glare/flares just how I imagined. I wanted subtle, localized "blooms" with the lights hot spots, bit of a dreamy haze. And, I realize this lamp portrays the rice paper as being thinner than it might be in real life, yet I liked this slightly more transparent look myself, adds another aspect/layer of depth. I'm sure if I were to build this in real life, I would have it that way. The rice paper design is called "Dancer as Sagimusume (Spirit of Heron)" by Kokyo. It is provided by Connecticut College with permission. You can find their collection of hi-res Japanese wood-block prints here. They also carry hi-res etchings by Rembrandt and Albrecht D

This really is something I like.You arranged and lit this up perfectly. Colors and objects are striking(Only criticism I would have is the html for your links I prefer a target="_new" so I don't lose this page. LOL I was enjoying looking at the image and reading then the page changed.)
