Nice drawing.. Good curves. I like how the arms are short on her, it fits with her body type. How do you do about doing your sketches?

I have no set method-this one took 5 minutes or so- the short woman thing? "idealised" body heights are usually thought of as measuring 7 "heads" tall. I subtract by 1 full head to bring the figure to the size I want-it adds more pounds but it also compacts the torso for greater gravity/emphasis. To compensate I shorten the arms as well. For sketches I work fast and leave some error always-I don't want to simply control my work I want to feel it-and the finished product is just an image, not a brand name anyway.

I really admire your sketches and all of the work I've seen of yours. If you're not making a living with your art, you certainly could.

Great work Matt. She looks oriental. I like the way her hand is splayed out like she's about to catch something.
