Description


Glacier National Park, Montana. Stones are swirled around in small holes in the bedrock by rushing water, eventually grinding the stone to sand, but in the process, enlarging the hole.

Interesting and beautiful looking. I see many layers here in this rock. I wonder how long this took, and if these holes serve a purpose in nature, like perhaps to serve as a home or shelter for a small animal? :-)
