Early morning sand and dust in the Candor Chasma area of Vallis Marineris, Mars. Rendered using 1/64 degree per pixel MOLA data.

Nice idea. Maybe you could try to add a seperate layer for the steeper parts with more bump and mimic terrain to create a rocky surface. Sand doesn't look very realistic there. Hmmm... Anyway - great done! :-)
