Description

Didn't need anything more to clutter the scene up, so I stopped.

I love the empty vastness of this. You are right no need to clutter up the scene, only man does clutter up nature with his whims.

Very well done. Anything more would be a risky step. I like this the way it is.

Knowing when to stop is as important as any other part of the artistic process. You got it right! Oh, I'd love to wander along this beach. I spent 24 years living beside the ocean, and now I'm in the middle of Canada, 1000s of miles away from the smell of salt and ozone. You gave me a wonderful memory moment.

your waves these days, wow! this really shows them off. i agree any more would be clutter. yet can't resist wondering what the sand surface would be like with just the tiniest hint of texture, real sand has microfacets and tends to sparkle, but it's almost below detection. and as the waves pull out, they leave little bathtub rings of bubbles and crud. more of that here in CA and very little in the Carib. i realize this is a tall order, so it's excellent as is! :-)

thanks folks for all the comments. I posted a minitutorial at the Bryce Forum, on doing the water in this image. Basically, there are two renders, mixed together in postwork

Awesome shallows. Looks just like the water at a resort I was at a month ago.

This looks a lot like a beach close to me. I love having the beach to myself. Just the sand, surf, sky. A little shoreline flotsom and sand ripples and it would look like a photo. Thanks again for the tut!
