Description
This is the first rendering of the bridge in which all of the major components are in place, and with a try at decent lighting. Unlike most "Star Trek" ships, this bridge is not a module sitting on top of the saucer, but is in the nose of the ship, located similarly to the cockpit of a jumbo jet; it still, however, has been designed to invoke the spirit of the Trek design ethic. I thought that turning the upper workstations inward would be a nice change (this takes place 100 years before the original "Star Trek" series, same as "Enterprise"), and I took advantage of that to put the typical monitors of the upper gallery into the backsides of the workstations, placing them closer to the captain and enabling viewing without needing to look over or around a crewperson. I hope to add considerably more detail to the workstations, but at this point, this is mostly for reference in connection to a fan fiction story I am currently writing.

Nice tribute to Pato Guzman's layout for a command center, like the panoramic view for the Captain!

knew this would bring out all the trekkers..;) interesting that the outer walls are free of controls, but it's your ship..for 'contemporary' ships, visit the Starfleet Museum (Google search brings it up)..keep it up..

RG19, you might need to message or e-mail me a link with Pato Guzman's layout; I confess I'm not familiar with it. I just put this all together as my solution to the problem of a bridge from a century before Kirk's, but with production values 35 years more advanced than the original series; the arrangement of the upper gallery was my attempt to present a unique interpretation of the typical circular layout. As for the outer walls being control-free, that, too, is an attempt to innovate, plus the fact that the outer walls slope radically because of the bridge's position at the top of a cylinder; it would be tough to put consoles and monitors at a workable height on the outer walls without further reducing the width of the bridge. Or amybe I just think too much ;-)

Cool layout, very nicely modeled. Would be good to see this textured as well.
