Just another shoot from Allest, trying to use lens effects instead volume light to create beams.

You might Wanna try using a Glow For you beam Like I did in my "Forge" piece. The is tutorial on it under 3dsmax tuts on this site its the on on Video Post Glows try it I think you will get some truly great results.
