I was debating with myself as to where to post this - XD is a fractal program, but it can do a lot of un-fractal stuff... ;-)

The sphere made from sub-units that do not actually meet is exquisite; as indeed is the rest of the composition including the clever shadow effect and the reproduction of the entire image in the picture hanging on the wall .
