Description
Strong air vortex force the glider to get out of the Hebes mensa. Bank a little bit to the west, accelerate to gain some altitude (methane/oxygen engine)and en route to the House of Zeus himself, the almighty Olympus Mons, 3000 km away.

very nice...i can feel the speed...dunno why,but somehow,to me it seems apparent. very nice job man.if you rnder in the detail ever(i do a lot) you should try defocusing pixels on the global page to fake DOF,in this scene it would be boffo...just a thought

Thanks bobby. faked DOF, yes I see what you mean but I think that at that range, the glider and the montains would be pretty much at the same focus: infinity, with little bluring. For those interested, I plan to post MOLA based pictures soon as we approach Olympus Mons. (partly real MOLA elevation, partly generated). Big thanks to Mars Global Surveyor !

ooooh yeah!!! this is a classic piece keep it up and maybe do a glider/helicopter landing - with dust and smoke etc It all adds to the realism keep it up you guys all inspire me to get better!!
