Description
It had been a good trip, trading in oil and fleece at Syracuse. On the return journey, a storm had driven them far off course. The strange spires had been spotted soon afterwards, but old Knossos, the steersman, had warned that they were near to the Sirens of legend, which had tried to ensnare brave Odysseus of old. The crew laughed. Why, they were Greek Heroes too. So towards the Sirens they sailed......

Verry nice work! Grea idea and POV! The one thing that puzzles me is that this swimmer in the foreground must have an outboard attached to create this wake ;-)?!?

Fabulous rock structures! I love the sailor in front that's walking on water. I'd say he's in a hurry!

Extremely imaginative, as several have commented. You did a fabulous job of working your poser figures into realistic motions. I love the POV and the gulls add a perfect touch. The watersplash work is great, but it seems like you can make out the rectangle under the boat - maybe needs elevation clipped? Overall, Excellent image. I don't usually give votes, but for this one, I'll make an exception :-)
niandji
Thanks to everybody for the great response - I'm really grateful. BountifulKnight - you're right; it was clipped, probably it could do with a bit more! (its the same terrain as the other splash though- which is rounder- oh well!)

fascinating work, especialy on those impressive rocks. Excellent work. Bravo!
Flycatcher
A very eye-catching surreal piece. The sky is perfect for the image, and those towering rock formations are astounding. I'm sure Dr Freud would have drawn some interesting conclusions from them though - phallic symbols each if ever I saw one!

Hm, what we can see here? Double lattice in use? ;) I often create my objects (in Bryce) using that "thing". I like colouring in your work. And beautiful sky. The whole layout is coherent [IMO] and tells a story. Well done. Vote. :) Mirek
