Description

This is a render attempt (4) of the UNESCO protected Cathedral of Sibenik, Crotia ( Hrvatska ). Certainly this is a challenge to do without radiosity, so I used "poor man`s radiosity", which is a "ball flash" consisting of 32 lightsources tuned without shades. This was the most tricky picture of four, because simulating radiosity in the rosettes was not so very easy, the "sun lighted pigeon" is just a little bit transparent and has been put a point light into it. Light sucking spot comes from behind us, reducing other effects. www.leisterer.de and www.3darc.de (Galerie)

Very nice light - i think i have said it before. The reflections on the walls are excellent. By the way, i don't have any problems with the stone textures. That's how they could look like. Well done.

Thank you wabe. The stone texture is the original provided with the model, so it is like it is. Explaining the magic ball flash ( 32 spot lights giving no shades, put together in a shape of a globe, their direction turned to the center of the globe ), you just have to magnify it into a shape bigger than the building, put the building amidst of it and afterwards the inside will be lighted in a miraculous way - from where you can now start adding hightlights and effects.
