Description
The pipe itself has no camera matching, nether dose the ground, but I did recreate part of the photo for the ground (perspective change with a lot of airbrush touchups) the pipe is 6 peaces of geometry, simple polygon, but each of them has a displace and transparence map, so that is where the

Astonishing ! I really think you should do a complete tutorial on this one day and make this available on Renderosity with the max file and all the maps ! I believe you when you say you worked 4 days straights on this ! The rendering is so perfect, there is no flaw ! And there is so many maps... how long to render ? You got a big vote pal and I put this picture in my favorites too ! Good work !

Well done!!! It seems to be very quiet from the doubting department.

Beautiful image. I love the way you provide proof, and are honest. As jplouw says, the doubting department aint around. Great job

Render took about 2.5 hrs feature baste displacement and ray trace lights really add up, seeing how ray trace shadows are the only light that can cast through a transparency map. Currently due to my current situation on time, I doubt I will have time to create a tutorial for you guys at this time, maybe in a month or so?

Respect. The chips were what really had me doubting. Your materials look fantastic and you did a great job integrating it with the photo. Congrats!

Its good that you clarified what it is you did. I was under the impression you were trying to pass off the entire image as 3D. That is a very good job of mapping, Excellent actually.

::Hhhmmm. I think I'd be more impressed if you were able to produce a wireframe for this photo, or render another view of the same thing. There's quite a few things that scream photo at me. So I'm gonna guess that this is not 3d or at best its very simple geometry that has been camera mapped. Sorry, but I don't believe this. So prove me wrong and earn my respect or pray that DeathGoth doesn't see this.::
Well man DeathGoth did see this.... and well here i am... I would have ripped you a new A**hole for your 1st image cause I would have for real been thrown off by it... but if you look closely at his 1st image the and you can see there is something odd with the fence... the grass looks a bit stiff... its way to bright to be outside lighting even the sun has a slight ornagish tint to it.... no matter howe bright the sky is... and over all I would like to congratulat you on a HELL of a good image... would have beaten the shit out of me... but I would have tore u more cause i would have thought it was an image and wouldnt have paid attention to what i stated... anyway good work dude I give u a 9/10 cause nothing is perfect in life... not even god...
and to Seraph... thats not nice.. I am actually a really cool guy... how dare you insult me like that... I am going to run and cry to my mommy cause u said Pray DG dont see this....
