Description
uhmm,
i`m a n00b learning by doing, which basically means experimenting without knowing what the hell i`m doing most of the time lol
its called Red II cos i messed up the first one haha
the software i have is corel bryce 5.1 ,adobe photoshop 7.1 and fairly recently invested in a copy of newtek lightwave 3d 7.5 which i dont have the time to learn at the moment, duh
its real awesome software though
i used bryce and photoshop for this wallpaper
around 1 hour on composition and 5 hours rendering
the only pp work was adding the text and optimizing filesize for the web in photoshop
i just didn`t think it needed anything else
ps also available in blue lol
thanx

Well, humm, this is one interesting piece of work for someone who states that he doesn't know what he's doing. I like the way you mess up. The glass and lighting effects are fitst class. Really nice work. I look forward to your future pics.

well thanx all for the kind comments, its true im afraid i am a total n00b. i started playing around with photoshop around the end of may this year, i decided to try and learn some 3d around 6-8 weeks ago after getting lightwave but i just dont have the free time just now to learn, and although i have had bryce for around 3 months i couldnt figure out how to use it except to make standard scenes using basic stuff from the library and such, in total i have made 9 scenes in bryce and they all sucked except this one which i really liked. i put quite a lot of thought into making Red II and its the only decent looking pic ive made in bryce, so im not sure yet whether it looks good because of the thought i put into making it, or if it was just pure luck, a fluke or whatever i guess only time will tell

This is very cool.Has a great high-tech feel and the color and light reflection are great. Its funny but often the best renders are things that we stumble on by accident. In this case I would say that effort and creativity is what got you there.Excellent!
