Oh Ebony... by BountifulKnight

Oh, good morning Ebony. How are you today? Just delighful, thank you, but you don't seem so well this fine morning. What could it be that paints such sadness upon your heart this day? I was over near the village yesterday and as always, I was being very careful not to be seen, when this beautiful little girl came skipping down the road singing the most lovely song I think I have ever heard. As she came singing along, I completely lost myself in her song and forgot myself altogether. I didn't give a single thought to hiding... and then she saw me. One look at me and her song just vanished away and in its place came a scream that must have pierced the sky itself. I tell you Ebony, my heart felt as if it would tear in half and I would die right where I stood. In a way, I wish I had. My precious friend, I'm so very glad you didn't. I'm terribly sorry about the little girl. I'm sure she would grow to love you dearly if she only came to know you better. Oh Ebony, will they ever see me for who I really am, not for what I seem to be? I do hope so, I truly do, but even if they don't, you will always be a treasure to me and I will always be here to share the morning sun with you. Thank you Ebony. I don't know what I'd do without a friend like you. This started with "TheGnarlyTree" purchased to honor my integrity when Davy found out he had used a merchadise item as a basis for his free trees, which I used in several of my pieces. I greatly respect the honor he showed by coming forward and trying to set things right. With my new tree, I began to make this scene and it soon took on a life of it's own, but it was lacking something (partly due to my lacking Poser). A few days later, I found this "Troll" and wondered what manor of creature this might be. Then I had the thought: What if he was really kind and sweet and simply misunderstood like many of us are? With that thought, it all came together and here it is. I hope you have enjoyed the experience. Nice work here, maybe too much contrast I would like to see a closer view of your troll ;-)

Great picture - nice to see an evocative atmosphere being used, really give the image the poignancy the story evokes.

What a sunset... the hard shadows and the red light make the nice scenery something special.
