Description
It was as quiet as a tomb and just as dark. It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't
left me with no distraction but thinking about what a fool I'd been. I knew the dame
was trouble the minute she walked in. I should have kicked her out before she even
opened her mouth. But, that pouty look and those big, green eyes started me quivering
like a schoolboy on a first date. Serves me right. So, instead of relaxing with a cold
one, I'm standing in some rundown warehouse stashed away in the corner of the slums
watching for some crazy ex-boyfriend who'll probably try to blow a hole in my head the
minute he sees me. You'd think I'd have learned by now!
