I guess I had known Digger for about 12 years now. He worked cheap and always got the job done on time. He never buried them too shallow or too deep, always just right. He never asked questions and usually kept to himself. He and I fished together quite often, he always brought the bait. I guess with his occupation, bait was plentiful. One evening I stopped by Digger's shack to suprise him. I had not been there ever before. I lightly rapped on the door to his shack and the door slowly opened. I guess he hadn't locked it, but there would be no need to secure the shack due to being located there in back of the property past the graves here in the cemetary. As the door opened a smell overwhelmed me. Familiar somewhat but definitely overpowering. There was no light except what little bit was creeping thru the door as it opened. I grabbed a handkerchief from my trousers and covered my mouth and nose, as to not be assaulted by the pungeant aroma wafting past me trying to escape into the fresh air outside. As I stepped further inside I gave my eyes a few more seconds to adjust to the dusty darkness of the shack. A couple of blinks later I was able to focus a bit better. The dust from the dirt floor was making my eyes water. I wiped my now tearing eyes with my free hand. The door opened further allowing the room to now fully illuminate. I fell backwards as I looked onto a small table that sat next to a rust stained sink. One the table lay a .............. muhahahhahahaa Now you all finish the story....thanks for taking a look at Digger... Ron
