i was able to get a wider composition and more detail in the landscape; thank you for viewing,all comments and suggestions greatly appreciated.

To lighten the foreground, try decreasing contrast in your photo program, and then lightening. Conversely, render it lighter, and then lower the brightness on the sky. Play around with it. Your smaller moon looks like it is actually very close, within the mist of the atmosphere, but as artistic license, it makes a very nice comment.
