Description

Who are you, sad lady? What horrors do you know? Who has not come home for dinner for the past two years? The site of the WTC 2003, a gate stretches around the "Hole" left behind. I have only been here twice since 9-11-2001. I avoid the area as much as possible but the second time here I felt this eerie connection with people I never met before. I found myself drawn to their faces in wonder of whom they were... who they may have lost... and how they were affected by this unimaginable act of terrorism. For a week after taking these photos I pondered over the morality of posting them. I feel these are not for sensationalism, but for a healing process, the healing of myself as well as others who were affected.

this is a good, reflective piece & series, a reflective & touching image... you are posting in good judgment, we will never forget, i just hate the sensationalism of the media of wanting to go another round with the story

I think the media should repeat over and over that someone blew up the WTC 2 years ago and that it was on TV. So while America will be staring at it's belly button once more, no one would realise that US soldiers killed more civilians than Al-Qaida during these last 2 years.

Wonderful photo! I think it's great that you posted these, it marks a period in history and shows the emotions of those who lost loved ones. I know if I were the one being photographed, I'd want others to remember what happened and what a wake up call it was to me to tell those that I love that I love them as often as possiblebecause we never know if we'll see another tomorrow. Again, a wonderful and touching photo. Cris
