Description
September 11th 1973, 30 years ago today, the Chilean army led by general Pinochet overthrew democraticaly elected president Salvador Allende. 30 years of terror, torture and disparitions followed. A popular joke in Latin America at that time was: "Why can't there be a coup in the United States? - Because there's no American embassy in that country."

Thats a really bitter joke! Thanks so much for putting to our attention that Sept.11th is a memorial day for all kinds of terrorism, not just terrorism perpetrated against US citizens but also for US state terrorism. Thank you for inspiring me and others :)
