Description
Well, here are two different trees that Bryce 5 can do.
Good looking one is rendered with approximately 140 lights simulating radiosity. The trunk is made with terrain editor using symmetrical lattices. Render time takes 3 hours.
Other one is a standart Bryce tree rendered under standart daylight. Render time takes 1 minute.
You can create good looking trees with Bryce 5. But it takes quite a long time to render. While creating woodland images, a good looking tree can be transferred to a 2D image and may be used as far backdrops with transparency maps. There should be a tutorial in Renderosity about that.
Have fun !

I am curious. Would the tree on the left render considerably faster if you used the standard Bryce lighting, with no simulated radiosity? And wouldn't the tree on the right render considerably slower using the simulated radiosity?

yes it would :) but it wouldnt be looking that nice if i used normal bryce lighting...and yes it would, but even the simulating radiosity doesnt make the usual tree look better...
