Description
I saved some process pics, hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making the image.
Description of process:
Step 1: scanned the sketch, pixel size w2550 x h3507
Step 2: smoothened the details with standard photoshop brushes (photoshop 7.0)
Step 3: colors added with two separate layers using the layer effects.
Step 4: highlighting with brushes.
Step 5: eyecandy plug-in, filter water drops. I rarely use filters in my work, but in this case I just wanted some playtime with effects.
Step 6: color and highlight adjustments with layer effects, this time more to details with face. I took some steps back from the filter effects to calm it down.
Step 7: the final version. Added a layer to bring out more light to details and coloring.

Thanks for sharing the processes with us. Fascinating to see how you went from a pencil scan to a finished product!
