The lighting and the muted colours give this a sad moody feel, which combined with the DOF make this an excellent shot:) Oh dear, Tedz zoooom seems to have wilted;=0

I would imagine it goes against the grain for photographers of flowers to do anything other than to ooomph their colour, brightness and saturation - so full marks Steve for having the originality of mind to 'mute' this capture into the tones you have chosen ...it is to me at least, far more memorable for it ...a fine capture of an oft taken subject!
