No, no. One should never be a "cowboy". It's much better to be an ostrich. Pretend that the problem doesn't exist. Pretend that muderous fanatics can be appeased with words. Comforting fantasy. Words will make the killers go away. No more 9-11's. Only Next Generation peace throughout the galaxy. No REAL enemies. Only friends that we haven't met yet. Illusion. Smoke and mirrors. Good classic Trek phaser. Type II, I think they called it.
