Good one. I think the sand needs just a little structure (grainy as sand mostly is). But it starts to look really good. Whats as well missing - and i don't have any idea how to make it - is some wet parts on the sand where the water ends. So that the border is not so sharp.

And here I was thinking that this sand is just wonderful, probably all warm and nice, and how much I'd like to dig my feet in it. :) What a great place. :)

Thanks for your comments! Regarding the sand, I do not know how the sand is in you part of the world but where I leve there is no way you could distinguish grainy sand from this didtance. I do agree with the wet sand, It just plain forgot to so it. .I will edit this image to include the wet sand area at the waters edge. Thanks again for your input, it is appreciated.

Joe I think the sand texture looks a lot like the beach sand here, but I think what's missing is the little tufts of beach grass that pops up everywhere. A very beautiful private beach, I wish I was there!

Thanks Shari! we do not have those little tufts of grass on our beaches. Wherever they were, they were removed a long time ago as they had thorns which were quite vicious if stepped on, so there was a campaign to have most of it removed. Take a look at this: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=478342&Start=19&Artist=deevee&ByArtist=Yes

O you can bet at that depth that there is a fish or several even hanging close to the roots of the partially submerged tree. I would run a trotline from it to the shoreline for sure if I was there. This is a very recreational piece to me. I can see having alot of fun on a day as depicted so masterfully. We have very few sandy beaches here, I only wish ours were as beautiful as the pics and images I have seen of yours there. Outstanding job.
