Description

Just got back from my first ever trip to Yosemite, got inspired enough to do this image. Hope I did the place some justice. Bryce5 render, all materials are Bryce procedurals, volumetric clouds, some Photoshop enhancements. Thanks as always, Mario

Amazing! Only suggestion I could make would be to vary the trees a bit.

Aye, it is wonderful! Lots and lots of trees. Nexxon, methinks the AA did finish, he just had it turned off for the trees to give it a sharper, crustier look. I think it looks great! I LOVE the volumetric clouds!

I did use DEM files from USGS, used 3DEM program to combine 3 HI REZ DEMs. Yes, I stopped antialiasing just before trees...I thought vegetation would look better without it. I spent 90% of my time on this doing DTE work. Thanks all.

Amazing, just love the cliff - what a wonderful mat you use. Do you use the Photoshop on the cliff textures? Wish I was there and will spend my life time onwards ....

Very nice render. Good use of the terrains, to make full realistic mountains. The sky really adds that realism element. Well done.

Close to Rohi, and that's the highest compliment I can think of! I agree with Ornlu, though, that the trees could be varied. Tweak the model, or rotate, or change proportions?

A great piece. I agree about the trees. If you are interested, I can suggest a way for you to fake a pine forest for the distance using your current terrains.
