Looks great for your first render. The rocks may need a bit of work, but you're on the right track.

I'm the sum of all evil, and considering how nobody else has the balls to give you any advice, here you go my friend : Stock sky : Bryce has a Skylab, use it! Pull sliders, push buttons, it's fun and easy! Terrain resolution : Notice how the terrain is all spikey? That's because the resolution of the image map driving the terrain is too low. The goal is NO visible polygons, real mountains truly have none. The water : It's great, I love it! Perhaps duplicate the terrain, copy the water material to the new terrain, to make ripples where the water hits the rocks? Please don't take my critique as mean in any way, they are just ideas and I only want to see you improve! Keep rendering, and welcome to Bryce!

This is beautiful for your first render hon,,, I would take all this advise and chalk it up to a learning experience. I think shadowdragonlord could have gone a little easier on you though especially being that this is a "FIRST",, If your anything like me, you would not understand the tips he is giving you anyway til you learn to manuver around the program a little more,, Keep it up girl ,,, your work has major potential,, I am so proud of you ,,, having the courage to try is #1 ,,"Hugs",,Linda :-)
