Description
This was a test render, (hence the rather flat floor), but turned out OK, so thought I'd post it. I'll do a better floor when I get a chance. Bryce model using only positive primitives and one negative in the head. 16rpp with blury reflections, 42 minutes to render.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone. I've only been posting here for real for about a month. But seeing what you lot have done with Bryce and snooping through the forums has given me ideas and techniques that I never would have thought of. I'm very pleased with the way my stuff has progressed over the past few weeks. Thanks guys.

Awesome spider, what a piece of work! The only thing about this one, is as you know : The floor. Use a terrain to create some real bump, perhaps? Or maybe just try soft shadows, or a higher-resolution image map for the floor...?

Beautiful modeling job. Especially like the hydraulic legs & needle tips. Although the floor could use bump mapping, the overlapping shadows are a nice touch.

One of the absolute best spider models I've seen! Can't be topped.
