Description

This is my first try at putting something on here, with this little experiment with caustics. I know it's probably not that good, but I would welcome comments, as I'm just trying to learn.

hello I am not going to be one of these ass kissing freaks that plague this forum for artists not to learn shit.. so here is my critque... I am guessing you used Brazil for this.. if not then shoot me in the head... I bet alot of people would like that around here...
ok now for your glass.. you should really take a glass fill it wit kool-aid and sit it in the sun.. watch the caustics in it.. then come back and look at this scene.. then ask yourself... does this scene look like that glass filled wit kool-aid.. what I would do is tone down on the photons and then see what you get.. as for the glass itself you should make it a Lot less thick.. that 1st glass nearer to the camera looks like it can kill someone by picking it up.. the 2nd glass looks to bland shows a scene in the refraction which i dont see... next I think you should add this into a scene cause it will give it more taste and better atmosphere other than some white plane.. other than that its ok...
But you are going to say I am not basing this off of real life... in that case I think you should really consider your work to be based off of real life things... cause if you dont you will get nowhere in photorealism... trust me I still dont base shit off of real life and I suck.. I just make boxes wit junk in them... HAHA... on a side note you can get me at my forum if you need help... I will be more than glad to help ya out...
