Oppression settles on a person like guilt. In it's rage it focuses dominance not on outward acts but on inward escape. The crumpled, broken lines of perspective accomplish this in a way no thought could miss. Satan had no mother. A fact easily missed in gazing on a woman seeking to be released from something above.
