Description

This was shot on a cloudy day, this summer. I hope to get a better shot of this butterfly next summer. The shimmer of the wings in the right light is just beautiful :-) I don't know why, but these butterflies are called "mother of pearl butterfly" in swedish, and this one is a male. The female ones, are not as bright in colour, and have dark spots all over their wings. Thanks for looking, and all comments are welcome...even negative, constructive critisism, to help me become a better photographer.

You dont need to get better, maybe the light could, but this dim light give good details and softness, the overal details is excellent. So, its Excellent.

You are already a fantastic photographer jockes....improvement? I actually think the lighting is fine, nice and even, no harsh flash(which is good)..... I see nothing here that I could criticise... I love it!

Yes I know these very well, I know what you mean about the iridiscent shimmer! So You're right; this is a great, but dull photo of what it could be! Something to long for hey, next season! Hope you can appreciate my comment?

I like the way the butterfly is on one side. It gives space to emotions and motion. This is avery well taken picture, with research for composition.
