Description

I'm not a man who makes quick decisions. For instance, I've spent nearly a *year* agonizing, re-thinking, researching, pondering, & procrastinating about whether and/or which digital camera to buy. High on my list were the Nikon D100, Canon 10D, Sony DSC-F717, Minolta Dimage 7hi and Canon G5. For various reasons none ever got me quite enthused enough to buy. Then this month, Canon came out with the 6.1 MP EOS Rebel Digital SLR! Finally, a combination of most of the right features at a really fair price. The initial reviews glow, and I could wait no longer! So I am now the proud owner of this new toy... and I present to you this shot from my first ever digital test batch. Nothing special about the photo, but couldn't resist posting at least something! I'll be on vacation for the next 2 weeks -- heading down Highway 1 hugging the California coast from San Francisco almost to L.A., then east to spend time with my folks in Tucson. Should be ample opportunity to put this new camera through its paces! See you all when I get back. :)

Lovely, lovely shot ...the yellow and blue melds together beautifully. Well, I'm glad you've managed to pull yourself out of those cold showers (I'm sure I could have worded that better!! :) And enjoy your new Canon, Stevie! Would it perchance be the brand spanking new 300D you refer to ...probably the most revolutionary digital camera to hit the market yet ...pro quality at sensational consumer pricing! If anyone can get stunning results from one, I'm sure it's you!* BTW: I'm not a Canon Rep!! Regards Mark :)
