Description

Color negative scanned. 'Something' went wrong with the scanning of this negative, but then . . . I like it! This is an engine on the Blue Mountain Railway near Hamburg, PA. The overpass is Rte 61 and the engine has just been fed and watered to pull the Sunday excursions between Hamburg and (mumble) near Reading. The consist was a series of 'Edison cars' -- so called because the internal lighting was supplied by electricity rather than oil lamps. Definitely state of the art at some point. Enjoy.
