Strong, but it needs a little less contrast on the banding, a little smoother texture in the foreground. Very close to life-like though.

Great work girl I don't know a thing about bands etc but I can see what there referring to on the forground.. Your so good at these strata's the sky is awesome doing great keep it up.

Great strata/lighting/pov/terrain

Excellent strata work, I'm very impressed with the movement you've got in the bands. The terrain and POV is faultless and with the colour of the strata the "sand/grit" is about right too. Excellent image :)

Marvellous! I like the surface the way it is. If you cut down on contrast, it won't be particularly striking. If you choose to make the foreground smoother, it will look like sand. Otherwise, add some layers. In such a canyon, smooth sand is not as likely.

My bad.. don't I feel inconsiderate. The terrain is Powell_Plateau_AZ from Timster. Thanks again for viewing and leaving behind comments/rankings. As the terrain has nothing to do with me, the surfacing and atmosphere are totally mine. The strata itself is a child layer with about half coverage, or less.. full coverage would've made the strata too strong. I kept the suggestions given to me in mind.. although there's no child layers to cover up some of the strata.

Now this is the quality i someday wish to do.Masterpiece!!!!
