Description
I did this in LightWave, using an old trowel I found as a reference. I tinted it in photoshop, and decided that the letterbox style bars at the top and bottom helped the impact of the image. I would love any comments or suggestions.

I think the metal part of the handle is maybe a bit exaggerated. It looks like stone now. Otherwise great texturing.

Has anyone ever seen a trowel like this, or know what it is used for? I found it a while back in an old stone building along with some other tools, but I do not recongnize that kind of trowel.

it's probably a trowel for working concrete

Heh... It kind of looks like the burger flipper I used to use at my old job, just a lot dirtier. The textures are very realistic. Great Job! Although, I agree about the handle, the texture doesn't look like it's part of the original handle (it kind of looks like caked on cement - maybe that was your idea in the first place!)

yeah, its for working concrete, and the metal part looks correct because they always end up covered in concrete.

Excellent texturing work!

Terrific work! The wooden dowel for the handle has got awesome textures, but I think that you might want to flatten the edges just a little bit. I like the lighting lots!

Excellent work! My dad had a trowel that looked just like this. Even the concrete covered metal part of the handle is accurate.

Great texturing and lighting.
