Description
This is a flower I made for a girlfriend. To say this image is overly simple is a gross understatement. It remains one of my favourites though, because it was the first image I ever finished completely and was pleased with the result. The model was done in rhino. Since my initial renders (version 1.0 rhino) looked like tupperware, I learned pov-ray and did the final render with it. The bottom left was just photoshopped in after the fact.
My current side project is to create an actual glass rose. It should prove to be fun and interesting :)
