It is with keen interest that I update this medical journal. Of all the Passive Attentive Disorder (PAD) affected children I have treat, Lorel is by far the most interesting case. Afflicted since birth, Lorel's conscious interaction with the world around her has been minimal, she will respond on occasion to questions, but it is rare and unpredictable. Her general vegetative state is broken only by her frequent bouts of sleepwalking and other nocturnal movement.

It is well known that children affected by PAD exhibit extraordinary mental abilities, particularly in the areas of the brain currently not being used by normal human beings. In most cases, this mental ability is manifested by complex mathematical calculations or, in some of the more environmentally aware children, the absorption of large amounts of information in short time frames.

Lorel is grouped under the rare few who exhibit telepathic abilities, while she has shown the ability to respond to people's emotions or even to project her own emotions, it is in another are that Lorel is surprising us. During the course of her examinations and interviews it has been noted that electrical appliances, computes, lights, recording equipment, etc, have power cycled and have been afflicted with other unusual behaviors. Indeed, the proximity of the devices to Lorel has been proven to reduce, or increase the abnormal behavior.

This ability, which I have dubbed Electrokinesis, appears to be growing with more items in our facility showing peculiar behavior. It is unclear whether Lorel is actively or passively affecting these devices, it may be simple electro-magnetic fields produced by her brain's telepathic waves, but it also may be a more complex, more conscious activity.

Further study is being scheduled.
