BIO
Since 1993 the Dutch couple, Willem and Madeleine, have been working together in different fields of the arts and chose Hyperborea, as their professional name.
Being sculptors by trade, they have created a substantial collection of stone and bronze sculptures.
They've discovered the realm of computer graphics and this resulted in a large number of 3D renderings of alien landscapes inhabited with graceful life forms.
Most recently they have been working together on various projects in which they combine their sculptures, 3D artworks and original electronic ambient music into multi-media presentations.
Living in the south of The Netherlands, they have their own gallery and sculpture garden where visitors can experience their work.

How sad. She's comforting the child, or getting comfort herself after the partner has left. Very emotion provoking.

Sort of thought of the easter bunny bringing eggs.Excellent on the textures.

Excellent texture on the "ship-of-care" [IMO]. Again a gigantic strike of positive vibrations even though title of your work deny it. For me it's rather "Lullaby"... I don't know why... :) Mirek

Keep your eye on the horizon, mama.

It looks like she is made of fabric - soft for her child? I have to think about that for awhile. The hole in her side makes her look empty, a good simile for how she must feel.

Lovely. IMO, the title and picture don't match. Looks like a journey to a tropical island for a pleasant vacation. I like the texture on the central figure.

Flying solo, eh! A lovely image even though the title would suggest otherwise. 8)

Quite touching. And the comments are interesting, with the majority believing this loving creature is the mother, rather than the father. I don't think the image reveals which it is. I suspect most parents would fit this bill. Cheers!
