Description

Color Slide Conversion. No. 5820 is a movie star. Well, it had a cameo appearance in the movie "Yanks" right at the end as the train full of troops heads off for D-Day. Here 5820 is leaving Oakworth Station headed towards Keighly. BTW: Here's a blurb re the railroad: "The privately owned Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, in Yorkshire, was chosen as the location for the 'railway shots'. In order to get the railway sounds just right, producer Robert Lynn hired the services of a train enthusiast, Peter Handford, as the Yorkshire location sound mixer. Locations nearby were used for other scenes, including The Vicarage in Howarth (the residence of Dr Forrest), where the Bronte sisters once lived." Enjoy.
