Trying for a perfect bark ...wow hard to get. Using my digital images for the mat. Comments welcomed..HB

My goodness, these are some of the best trees I've seen. They are not Bryce trees, what program are y ou using? They look fantastic so far. Really impressive.

wow what a beutiful trees but i have to agree with colum5 on this little more bumps would make this even better cant wait to see final.

The trees look pretty cool, except the bark texture has seams everywhere. I suggest using procedurals instead of photos, but I think this was a good experiment for you!

You are doing great!! If you built this tree outside of Bryce, I sometimes find that if you build the areas separately, ie. trunk, large branches, small twigs, then you can map them separately if they need it to look real and follow the tree line. Even using your photos. It helps to tile the bark image also. This is excellent and you are definitely on your way!!!
