Description
Cinema 4d XL7, about 4 hours' work. A wee bit of post work in PS, but nothing major.
render time: 1:30
using radiosity, area shadows, about 12 lights for specular and stuff. Some bright planes to make more interesting specular effects.
textures all mine, everything done from scratch because I'm bored :)
comments much appreciated!

You don't have mint imperials with tea! You want a McVitie's Rich Tea biscuit. Well rendered there though and the dribble down the cup is a nice touch. Love the material for the table cloth. This could nearly pass for a photograph.

Great work, very nice texturing. The shadow on the cup knocks me right out!! :))

Beautiful detail, the drop of tea alongside the cup is too cool!

The render and lighting is most excellent, as are the textures. Very nice work.

The pieces of paper look a bit too flat.

Thanks everyone. I'm working on the paper - I think using a thin box instead of some spaced planes will probably sort things out a little.

Paper IS flat.. :) And surprisingly heavy when you have a good pile of it. Great work and I too love that coffee stain.
