"how did you go about making something like this?" Well, I started about a year ago, learning a process fondly called pixel art by many of its practitioners. Have a look here http://pixeltutorial.cjb.net/ for a lovely set of tutorials. That, combined with a lovely forum stocked with many other great artists giving critiques helped me to develop the skill. Its a fairly easy thing to do in theory, but it takes alot of time to do the bigger ones. I also discovered that doing this helped me develop my other artistic skills. I recomend everyone try it out, its funstuff.
