I did a little postwork regarding the contrast. Feel free to comment the result. I'm am not very happy with the sky...any ideas?

You could always try throwing a polarizer over the lens....that usually does the trick depending on which angle the sun is coming from. Looks fine to me though....

Looks fine:) Judging by the shadows, the sun was 90degrees to the right of shot, so a polariser would help with creating more definition in the sky and darken the colours:)

well the subject wasn't easy to work out for the presence of that brown part in the middle that is hard to balance .. but I think the way you composed it and took the final version is great, especially for the result of that bricked coloured roof. The sky's fine to my taste. But it's just me.
