Description

Trying to model the stacking tables I have at home.Passed through a few generations, they came over on the first sailing of the Empress of China in the 1800's sometime. They are actually cherrywood and are a darker colour, however to show more details I tex'd with the dark walnut. They are so brittle now they want to snap if you look at them the wrong way. Next I will recreate the "smoking table" that came along with them. I could not create all the fine carvings in the legs.Might try. All done with metaballs and one decoration was a floral font created in elefont. I think I will have them oin freestuff soon after I scale them a bit more and get the right texture. Hope you enjoy

Really beautiful work. Love the color of them. The rug on the floor is really an excellent touch to your work. You did great on the composition and lighting also. -SeaC- :)

I love it. I would love to see the picture of the table if you have it somewhere on net or disc and if you can send it to me. Is it kinda folding table?? I love the model of both the table and vase. :) Brilliant work. :)

As Snakey requested I put up a page with 2 of the tables together. They are too fragile to move around to get them all in a pic. click the gif to view.amgif6.gif

Don't know how to use metaballs but I can see it's time I learned. WOW. Style and elegance must rule the day at your home. You should invite all from Renderosity over for a party some day! (don't think that fragile furniture would take the crowd though!) Beautiful modelling and rendure. This instantly became the bg for my desktop. Hope you don't mind!

I like the tables a lot, but the "rug" square and the stock texture on the left ruin the image. Still, there is progression, and I'm glad to see you modeling away! Keep it up!

It's a good thing my cat doesn't live in your house, she knocks over everything, and breaks it! Excellent render! Don't know how you did it, but it's awesome.
