Description

A low-quality sneak peak at my second original planet, Chromium. I used Calyxa's Stone Roses tutorial for the chrome towers. : ) Hopefully I can find ways to get rid of those reflection artifacts...

Wow! I've got to see the rest of your worlds! I love the placement, the proportions, the sky, the magnificent metals. The hard, cold figures contrasted with the whisps of the sky--fantastic! Do you have Paint Shop Pro or a similar program? I get rid of marks like your reflections quite easily with postwork in PSP.

I think I know what's causing the artifacts.. There is a known issue with artifacts on water when the clouds are below the terrain.. Move your cloud layers up higher and it should resolve that part.. My guess is that's causing the reflection issue on your displacements as well.. Especially if your using a water material for the displacement towers.. It may or not be the same thing, but try raising your clouds and see what happens.. One other issue you may want to address, is that displacements don't reflect properly in the water..As you can see.. The solution for that can be, either no water at all, or rough up the water so the incorrect reflections are less apparent.. Take a look at what Bob Buttery did with the water on Huduce.. I think you'll see what I mean.. ANYWAYS....This looks great... It's gonna be a killer planet when it's done.. Excellent work D.. Bruce
