Description

I wasn't sure where to post this image since it is both a Faerie and a Portrait. Anyway, for some reason I have been thinking about Faeries lately, and decided to try and make one. This (as of yet unnamed) Faerie was inspired by the work of Brian Froud, who I'm sure everyone who frequents this gallery knows. I think that his work is so much more interesting than your average run of the mill Faeries, because they aren't simply little people with wings. His creations often have radically different features and body types, and I tried to capture some of that here. I don't think that I was entirely sucessful though, hopefully they will improve the farther I progress.
