Description

She heard the cry from the last of her companions behind her in the ruins. Spinning around, Kaiya watched in horror as Odyon fell from an unseen assailant. Kaiya rushed back to his side, hoping that his wound could be healed by her blood magic. His wound was serious, but treatable. As she pulled her hand away, covered with Odyon's blood, she heard a laugh from the side, a woman's laugh... A laugh her family had come to hate through previous generations. 'So, you thought to bring him and his crew back to their home safely, against the will of the Gods themselves? Foolish woman, whose blood has angered the Gods into cursing your family. You think you can stand against our will? You found love in Odyon, but you will never be free from us!' Kaiya looked at the blood on her upraised hand, her blue eyes becoming cold as ice as rage built up within her spirit. 'You forget, Lady Malennia, why you gods cursed us. My blood power rivals your own, yet we are not gods, we are human, and we will not fall to you!'
