Description

This animation came to mind when thinking about an incident where a flying rock from an uncovered gravel truck hit the windshield. Rendering out the frustration I guess, beats road rage. Rendering and tarp animation done with cloth room in Poser 5. Gravel load was scaled and retextured hills from Simply3d models, converted to obj in Deep Exploration. I composited particleIllusion text effect and exported the gif files from Animation Shop 3, texture & transparency maps made or edited in Paint Shop Pro. Truck model from 500 3D Objects Vol.1 book/CD, modeler is De Espona. I hope this qualifies as mixed medium.

Beautiful animation job. Sorry to hear about your windshield.

Extremely thought-provoking animation and text. One is not familiar with the legal definition of "windshield", but perhaps there is room for literalism, which opens the way for a legal and technological solution, say, a federally required "rockshield" for all vehicular windshields, especially since all rocks on the road don't fall from gravel trucks, eh? 'Course I just read that a Congressman has declared "it is illegal to consume horseflesh in the United States...."
